Warehouse 13: Nothing Changes But HG Wells

Syfy (sorry that name is still stupid), has a hit on it's hands with Warehouse 13 and as a science fiction fan I'm glad to see it. Warehouse 13 is one of the few more upbeat sci fi shows still around and while I love the darker storylines of Fringe and V. This is definetly one of the show's strengths but it's not it's best. No the show's best quality is the crush it has on the entire genre of science fiction.

Warehouse 13 is a love letter to all the geeky from the recognizable and to the obscure (how many people have actually read Island of Doctor Moreau?). You can probably tell by just reading a plot summary so here we go:

"Artie dies, but comes back do to a phoenix charm, than are evil villain defreezes HG Wells thanks to his mind control of Leena. So are two agents go to London to find HG Wells and they do but it turns out HG Wells is actually a woman. She takes her super speed jacket and using a magnetic ceiling freezes are agent. Using anti matter to power the vest the British villain and HG Wells enter the MC Escher Vault (exactly what you think it is) to get Wells personal possessions but than she kills last season's villain and escapes. Oh and spunky genius girl is no longer in trouble for treason"

Very nerdy no. I did have some favorite scenes but my favorite by far is the MC Escher vault. Just the idea an endless vault designed like an Escher original makes me very, very giddy. Another is just the idea of a female HG Wells as are season villain is awesome as is her magnet ceiling. Now as I said the show is very upbeat and this episode is total proof. Last season we got teased Leena is a traitor but no just mind control so she never did anything evil. Artie also believes Claudia didn't do anything treasony. Also last season's villain (fine his name is McPherson but he is really forgetuful) saw the afterlife wrong so he was never truly evil he just didn't look at death the right way or something (ok this bit was the worst part). Still we have C.C.H. Pounder'd mysterious leader character who even in a coma is badass.

Yes, Warehouse 13 is still awesome with it's upbeat tone, awesome new villain and of course a great cast (although kill Leena soon she's getting on my nerves or alternatively reveal she's actually the younger self of C.C.H. Pounder's character, free material here writers).
